Want to volunteer, but not quite sure what YOU can do to help? Come visit and help in our garden! Plant seeds… Organize an outing! Perhaps share your craft expertise with our residents and make an afternoon of it! There are no limits to how you can help here at the Lighthouse and we sure do love our volunteers!
“What a pleasure it was to come to your home and be able to help in some small way. It was an unexpected treat to be asked to stay for dinner. It was most enjoyable and yummy. The residents are a joy to be around and visit with. your house and surroundings are beautiful and what an awesome ministry you have there. God Bless you all”…In Christ’s Love- Cheri.
We are blessed with many volunteers from community groups to church groups as well as individuals. We love them all and couldn’t function without the help of all our wonderful volunteers! However, there is always a need for volunteer help, and especially if you have a talent or skill such as carpentry, handyman, farm work, plumbing, and more. In addition, the Lighthouse is seeking individuals who might want to tutor a residential family member in reading and verbal skills. It’s a rewarding feeling to improve the quality of life for someone with special needs. Call us if you have a skill and time you can donate! We NEED you! 406-857-FARM.
Our wonderful friends at Fresh Life Church came to visit over the summer (they visit often) and learned we were trying to build new offices in the basement for our Administrative staff in order to free up the studio apartment that was our offices. The studio apartment has become a home to one of our Supported Living Services residents, and with this transition it is our plan to add a new family member to our home here at the Lighthouse in 2016. The building of these offices have created the ability to be able to accommodate a future family member into the Lighthouse Family! Fresh Life, in partnership with the Zinngrabe Foundation, helped us realize our goal for funding by supplying the remaining capital funds for the completion of building of the offices in December 2015. Fresh Life shot a little video about it to surprise us! We are so grateful for all the wonderful works and devotion from ALL who care about our residential family and this mission at the Lighthouse. Love comes in many forms including donations, prayers, volunteerism and all those helping hands and hearts! God bless you all! Password is: fr3shlife
We wish to thank Flathead Electric Cooperative’s “Round Up For Safety” program for helping us with a grant alongside the Gianforte Family Foundation to upgrade our electrical grid in our large residential home so that we can supply air-conditioning to the first floor of the home!! THANK YOU!
Summer 2016 has brought us so many wonderful volunteers!! We have had many groups from Fresh Life Church, YWAM, Trinity Lutheran Bible Camp, and many of the other camp youth here for the summer. Fresh Life Church has helped with many special projects for which we are truly grateful, and YWAM and all the Bible camp youth and leaders have been coming out nearly twice a week for the past months to do special projects, spend time learning about the farm, our life here, lending helping hands and sharing a great meal and fellowship! THANK YOU to all who have come out–and keep coming out! Without all our great volunteers, we couldn’t possibly do all we do here!
